QA Analyst

Background

As a QA Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring that our software solutions meet the highest quality standards before they are released to clients. You will work closely with our development team to develop and execute test plans, identify and report defects, and provide recommendations for improving the overall quality of our software.

Role Purpose

  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases based on project requirements.
  • Identify and report defects, and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Perform functional, integration, and regression testing to ensure software meets quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the development team to identify opportunities for improving the overall quality of software.
  • Gather requirements for the software development tasks and update the tickets to reflect.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on software quality.
  • Work with the manager to continuously improve the software testing process.
  • Perform backend and functional testing on all software developed.
  • Validate that user expectations are achieved during the testing process.
  • Review user requirements documents to ensure that requirements are testable.

Qualifications And Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in a development environment
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Test Suite
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Scrum certification is a plus but not required

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Position is in an indoor office setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions.
  • Position includes prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs short distances within an office or home.
