Position Summary

The VP of Finance in the provider space is a pivotal leadership role that combines controller responsibilities with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) expertise. This position holds responsibility for guiding financial strategy, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving informed decision-making to support the organization's growth and financial health. This VP of Finance role presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned financial leader to shape the financial future of our organization while maintaining a solid foundation of financial control and delivering strategic insights to drive success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities, aligning business strategies
  • Accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis, ensuring compliance with GAAP and industry regulations
  • Manage financial controls, processes, and policies, safeguarding the integrity of financial data
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to provide insights that drive operational and strategic decisions
  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize capital structure, liquidity, and cash flow
  • Provide leadership, fostering professional growth and teamwork
  • Collaborate with external auditors, ensuring smooth audits and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Drive improvements in financial systems, processes, and technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Deliver regular presentations to executive leadership and the board of directors on financial performance

Requirements

  • Proven 7+ years of experience as a financial leader in a complex provider or healthcare environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of both financial control and FP&A principles
  • Strong track record of successfully leading finance teams and driving financial strategy
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and compliance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in M&A and due diligence processes
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and MS Office suite

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred
In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus, 401k, continuing education, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements). Total compensation is based on several factors, including type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
