NEW YORK CITY – Equum Medical has been named to Becker’s Health IT’s 2026 list of “272 Telehealth Companies to Know.”

Telehealth has changed a lot since the pandemic. The platforms are smarter, the access is broader, and more patients are getting expert care without having to travel for it.

Equum Medical embeds board-certified clinicians directly into hospital workflows through its ProviderPOD™ model. Local care teams get experienced backup without having to recruit or relocate anyone.

A big year

The Becker’s recognition highlights several milestones from the past year, including the expansion of Equum’s virtual nursing program across Hackensack Meridian Health in Edison, N.J.

Regina Foley, Ph.D., MBA, RN, EVP and CNO of Hackensack Meridian Health: “At Hackensack Meridian Health, we have always prioritized high-quality, compassionate care. By partnering with Equum Medical, we are enhancing support for our clinical teams and ensuring that patient care is more focused.”

Keeping complex care local

Equum also recently launched modular virtual multi-specialty and hospitalist services. Hospitals of any size can now access 14+ virtual service lines, from Tele-Cardiology to Tele-Infectious Disease, so they can treat complex cases locally instead of transferring patients out.

Equum has deepened its relationships with the National Cooperative of Health Networks (NCHN), the National Rural Health Association (NRHA), and the American Telemedicine Association (ATA) to connect rural and critical access facilities with clinicians they otherwise wouldn’t have.

By the numbers

15+ years in operation. 400+ implementations nationally. More than 2 million patient hours monitored annually.
